Last Thursday, I witnessed something that was rather moving. I was waiting at the control station for my friends and standing next to me was a man holding a bouquet of flowers. He was waiting rather serenely and I noticed that he was married.
A woman carrying a baby with a sling across her chest and pushing a baby pram with a sleeping child came through the gantry. A broad smile brightened her face upon seeing her husband, who was the man standing next to me. A look of genuine surprise flashed across her face and with tenderness, she accepted the bouquet of flowers from her husband. Despite being married for a few years (my speculation), her husband still bothered to pepper her life with little surprises to show his love and affection for his wife. She is one very lucky woman. The four of them moved off, the picture of perfect bliss. This little act of affection greatly touched me. Family. Love. Bliss. Something that I would definitely want to have when the time is right :)
