A rather rude encounter with 2 unpleasant Singaporeans.
The interns plus Van were at a food center during lunch today. And because it was peak hour, it was pretty crowded and we were waiting around 10 minutes to get a table. We managed to get a table that could fit 4 people. We saw 2 people sitting a table that could fit 6 people. So I decided to walk over and ask if they could switch tables with us. Those 2 people had just bought food and sat down. Here's how the conversation went:
" Hi, is there anyone else sitting at this table with you?"
"Oh yes, two of us plus one more person."
"Errm, since there's just the 3 of you, would you mind switching tables with us? (I then point at the table that can fit 4 people) That table can only fit 4 people but there's the 6 of us."
"We've already sat down and started eating. Troublesome to move."
At this point, I was flabbergasted by her reponse. So barking selfish and inconsiderate so I simply retorted back, "Well, I don't think you're being very nice." and walked away.
Terrible inconsiderate Singaporeans! It's people like you that give Singapore a bad name. I've been in a similar situation before and the people GRACIOUSLY swapped seats with me and my friends. ARRRGGHH what a way to spoil my day. Annoying. RAAAAAAAA.
