Well today was quite a tiring day for me! Started off the day by waking up at 610am so that I could meet my bestie Kelvin for breakfast at macs at 7am at Tiong Bahru! Thanks for listening out to me, my dear bestie..Felt better saying alot of things off my chest..It helped me to understand better too..Then it was badminton at 9am at Henderson CC and Yushu and Kel helped me to improve my hitting techniques..which was to hit lower!! Then I rushed home to bake Ser Kheng's present..Which was supposed to be brownie bars(they're supposed to be hard!) but then it came out as a soft crumbly choc chip cake..I felt really shitty cos all my effort went to naught..And I followed the recipe so closely! And what did I do wrongly?? Greasing the bake pan with butter instead of oil and not using tracing paper...RAA..But at least the cake's nice...
Here's the cake in the oven..This got my expectations up cos it looked like it was going to be a success!!
Attempting to cut the cake was a nightmare..I took 1 hour just to cut it and then to pack it into a container for Ser Kheng..
The entire cake stuck to the baking pan..This is how bad it turned out...
And then a package from Britain came to cheer me up! Thanks so much bestie for the birthday present in advance! It really helped me to feel less shitty and tired.. Totally didn't expect you to mail me my present..
And thanks to Ser Kheng for coming down to Braddell MRT from his home to collect the cake from me so that he could eat it when it's really fresh and then going back home! And thanks for the appreciation too! It's a nice and warm feeling knowing that you like the stuff I bake! =)
