TITLE: P3 Holy Communion Camp
I went down to St Michael’s Church on Tues to help out with this camp and indeed, it was quite an experience. I don’t remember my communion camp being so fulfilling and enriching. Really wished that I was at SPP since young, I’m sure that I would have benefited and learned more. Anyway, my group was called Love and there were 3 girls and 2 boys. Glad to say that the girls were like angels, and the boys were like devils. They were so naughty and noisy! And because of the 2 of them, one of the games had to be cancelled. And our group’s points were deducted all the way down to zero! I was so irritated and gek that I had to pull the 2 of them aside and scold them individually and made them apologise to the girls in their group as well as to the other faciliators. I was telling Alex that I felt a bit bad after the whole thing because I felt that I was a little too harsh with them. Oh well.
Anyway, the highlight of this camp was experiencing the Passover meal as well as the making of bread and wine. The kids made bread (which turned out really hard!) and they stepped on grapes in a basin to “make wine” which they believed that they would really drink! Haha.
And the quiz segment saw the kids’ enthusiasm to apply what they have learnt so that they can answer questions easily and earn points for their group. This camp made me remember what it meant by communion and I felt I benefited from it.

A funny girl called Joelle asked me really hilarious questions.
“Michelle, how old are you?”
“I’m a student, guess my age?”
“Are you 30 years old?”“No, I am not that old!”
“Oh, so you’re 16? 15? 14?” And she continued counting down.
“So are your parents dead?”
“Huh!!!!!!!!!!!??????”
“Are you married? Do you have a car?”To which I told her to keep quiet and stop asking me funny questions. Haha. Kids these days..haa..
